In these works I use line in a playful way to convey movement and weight in the figures. The lines dance through the paintings as some of the images appear to be doing the same on the canvas.

My process begins with drawing from live models. The gestural images are drawn and redrawn several times, moving farther and farther from the original figure. Then the images are transferred again to the canvas.
